【优秀英语作文:ChangesinMyHometown_小学五年级英】In the past few years, my hometown has changed a lot. I used to live in a small village with simple houses and narrow roads. Now, it looks completely different.

First of all, the buildings have become taller and more modern. Many old houses were replaced by new apartment buildings. There are also big supermarkets and shopping centers where people can buy everything they need.

Secondly, the roads have been widened and improved. Before, there were many potholes and muddy paths, especially after rain. Now, the streets are clean and smooth. There are also traffic lights and signs to help cars and pedestrians move safely.

Another big change is the environment. In the past, there was a lot of pollution from factories and waste. But now, the government has done a lot to protect the environment. Trees are planted along the roads, and there are parks where people can relax and enjoy nature.

Lastly, the people in my hometown have become more friendly and helpful. Everyone seems to care about each other and work together to make our town better.

I am proud of the changes in my hometown. Even though it is not the same as before, I think it is much better now. I hope it will keep improving in the future.
